Over the summer Sara White recommended a book to me called "Electric Kool-aid Acid test". It is about Hippies who are on Acid and cross the country in a school bus. This book really didn't have a main point to it rather then a bunch of little events going on.
This book was heavily influenced by the Grateful dead scene that was crossing the country. It really opened my eyes on the beliefs and culter of the hippies and the American Counter culter. Many people in this book where very indepent.

Hola Chris! This book sounds like a pretty interesting book. I think I'd like to read it. It sounds like it would be fun to read and it would teach me more about the counterculture. Did it have any pictures in it?! :]
ReplyDeletethis book sounds intersting, hippies sound like a pretty cool subject for a book. i wil think about reading it.
ReplyDeleteSince i have previously talked with you and Sara about this subject i think this book would be pretty sweet to read. We didn't really learn very much last year in History about the counter culture and i think reading this would help me improve my knowledge about it. And to be honest, who wouldn't want to read a book about hippies driving across the country? =P
ReplyDeletei think this book would be really good i saw a movie like this it sounds very similar so i would like to read the book to see how it lives up to the movie bause the movie was not very good to be honest
ReplyDeleteI think the book you read sounds pretty cool and something I would enjoy to read. Even the title sound like it'd be a great book.
ReplyDeletechris i must say this book sounds really cool and even something that i would like to read. I think it would let me see the point of view that hippies saw things and it sounds really interesting! I think if anyone was to read it would put things in the hippie perspective and it sounds pretty sweet!!
ReplyDeleteOn the Road-Jack Kerouac
ReplyDeleteAnd for everyone that would like to learn more about this book Listen to the song "Me And Eddie Vedder" by the rug burns its a great song but i dont suggest listening to this song with a younger audience.
